1. Treatment of domestic water after production, that is, the treatment of washing wastewater. If an appropriate amount of polyaluminium chloride is added to the wastewater, a lot of positively charged cations and multi-nuclear high-charge cooperative ions formed by radical bridging will be generated, which can make the charges suspended on the surface of the colloidal particles have strong adsorption and electrical neutralization capabilities and double-layer compression capabilities, thereby destabilizing the colloidal particles, and then adsorbing and depositing the pollutants to separate the water body.

2. Papermaking wastewater treatment The papermaking industry discharges a large amount of wastewater, a large proportion of which comes from the treatment of stage water, and many papermaking enterprises' black liquor is also mixed with the middle stage water for treatment after pretreatment (anaerobic, strong acid treatment, cellulose separation, neutralization, etc.). Research has found that when the amount of coagulant added is greater than 750 mg/L under alkaline conditions (pH 7-9), the removal rate of suspended solids can reach more than 95%, and 20-50% of CODCr can be removed.

3. Treatment of printing and dyeing wastewater We all know that printing and dyeing wastewater has high COD, chromaticity and pH value. Adding drugs to its wastewater for coagulation is a common treatment method. Although polyaluminum chloride has good coagulation effect and the dosage we add is relatively low when using it, polyaluminum chloride has poor neutralization ability for high alkalinity of printing and dyeing wastewater, and its application is subject to certain restrictions. After years of research, the two coagulants are used together, and the complementary advantages of the two and the synergistic effect of the common ion effect are used to treat printing and dyeing wastewater, which can reduce the treatment cost and improve the treatment effect.

4. Treatment of oily wastewater Oily wastewater mainly refers to a lot of produced water generated by oil field exploitation of crude oil, oily wastewater discharged by refineries and petrochemical plants, and wastewater generated by cleaning tankers and vehicles. Generally, the treatment of oily wastewater mainly adopts oil separation sedimentation, flotation and biochemical methods. The combined use of polyaluminium chloride and modified cationic polyacrylamide for coagulation sedimentation filtration treatment of oily wastewater has a very good treatment effect. The relative molecular weight of modified cationic polyacrylamide should not be too high, and it should be easy to compound with polyaluminium chloride to achieve the ideal effect.
