Why is polyferric sulfate good in water treatment? Does it have any characteristics?

Polyferric sulfate (PFS) is a pale yellow amorphous powdery solid that is easily soluble in water. A 10% (by weight) aqueous solution is a reddish brown transparent solution that is hygroscopic. Polyferric sulfate is widely used in the purification of drinking water, industrial water, various industrial wastewater, urban sewage, sludge dehydration, etc.

- Features -

Compared with other inorganic flocculants, polymeric ferric sulfate has the following characteristics:

① New, high-quality, high-efficiency iron salt inorganic polymer flocculant.

②Excellent coagulation performance, dense alum flowers, and fast settling speed.

③ It has excellent water purification effect and good water quality. It does not contain harmful substances such as aluminum, chlorine and heavy metal ions, and there is no water phase transfer of iron ions. It is non-toxic, harmless, safe and reliable.

④ It has remarkable effects in removing turbidity, decolorizing, degreasing, dehydrating, sterilizing, deodorizing, removing algae, and removing COD, BOD and heavy metal ions in water.

⑤ The PH value range of the water body is wide from 4 to 11, and the optimal PH value range is 6 to 9. The PH value and total alkalinity of the purified raw water change slightly, and it is less corrosive to the treatment equipment.

⑥ It has a remarkable effect on the purification treatment of micro-pollution, algae-containing, low-temperature and low-turbidity raw water, and the purification effect of high-turbidity raw water is particularly good.

⑦ The dosage is small, the cost is low, and the processing cost can be saved by 20%-50%.

- Superior performance -

Polyferric sulfate also has superior performance:

1. The product is non-toxic, harmless, safe and reliable. According to the provisions of my country's "Food Safety Toxicology Evaluation Procedure", the product polyferric sulfate (SPFS or PFS) was subjected to toxicity tests, that is, the acute LD50 test results are non-toxic products; and then the cumulative toxicity test, subacute toxicity test, micronucleus test and teratogenicity test, all showed negative results, confirming that the product (PFS) is non-toxic, and the raw material ferrous sulfate used in production meets the national standard GB10531-89 drinking water standard *ments.

2. Water phase transfer without iron ions and iron residues. The iron content of the water before filtration is 0.28mg/L (the iron content in the national "Drinking Water Hygiene Standard" is 0.3mg/L), and the iron content of the effluent after filtration is less than 0.05mg/L; and the effluent after filtration is colorless.

3. In the coagulation process of purifying drinking water, the product exhibits the following characteristics: fast coagulation speed, formation of coarse alum flocs, rapid sedimentation, and low effluent turbidity; for example, the average turbidity of the raw water is 33NTU (the average water temperature is 18.7℃), the average PFS dosage is 37.5 mg/L, the average turbidity of the water to be filtered is 0.97NTU; the average turbidity of the filtered water is 0.085NTU (in comparison, in a parallel test using aluminum sulfate, the average turbidity of the water to be filtered is 1.1NTU; the average turbidity of the filtered water is 0.29NTU).

- Precautions -

When operating, please note: closed operation and local exhaust. Operators must be specially trained and strictly abide by the operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear self-priming filter dust masks, chemical safety glasses, rubber acid and alkali resistant clothing, and rubber acid and alkali resistant gloves. Stay away from flammable and combustible materials. Avoid generating dust. Avoid contact with alkalis and alcohols. Pay special attention to avoid contact with water. Load and unload gently during transportation to prevent damage to packaging and containers. Equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment. Empty containers may have harmful residues.

When storing, please also pay attention: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Keep relative humidity below 75%. The packaging must be sealed and must not be exposed to moisture. It should be stored separately from flammable (combustible) materials, alkalis, alcohols, etc., and must not be mixed. It should not be stored for a long time to avoid deterioration. The storage area should have suitable materials to contain leaks.
