    Polyacrylamide (PAM) produced by Xinhuan is a water-soluble polymer, insoluble in most organic solvents, with good flocculation effect. According to the different ionic properties, it can be divided into three major types: anionic, cationic and nonionic. In neutral alkaline media, it is characterised by polymer electrolytes, sensitive to salt electrolytes, and crosslinked with high-valent metal ions to form insoluble gels.

Product Features

1. Flocculation: PAM can make suspended matter flocculate through electrical neutralization, bridging adsorption.

2. Adhesion: It can act as an adhesive through mechanical, physical and chemical effects.

3. Resistance reduction: PAM can effectively reduce the friction resistance of the fluid. Adding a trace of PAM to water can reduce resistance by 50-80%.

4. Thickening: PAM has a thickening effect under neutral and acidic conditions. When the pH value is above 10, PAM is easily hydrolyzed. When it is a semi-net structure, the thickening will be more obvious.




Application field


Water treatment field:

1. It is an important agent in sewage treatment and drinking water purification.

2. As a flocculant, polyacrylamide with different ionic characteristics can be selected and used according to the properties of sewage (such as pH, type of suspended matter, etc.), and suspended matter, colloids, and partially soluble organic matter in water can be removed by flocculation precipitation or flotation to improve water quality.

Oil extraction field:

1. It is used in the preparation of drilling fluid in oil extraction to adjust the rheological properties of drilling fluid, such as increasing viscosity and reducing filtration loss, etc.

2. It can also be used as an oil displacement agent in tertiary oil recovery to improve crude oil recovery by changing the relationship between reservoir rock and crude oil.

Papermaking industry:

1. Low molecular weight polyacrylamide can be used as a paper enhancer to improve the strength and toughness of paper;

2. Anionic polyacrylamide can be used to treat papermaking wastewater, remove suspended matter in wastewater, and improve the degree of wastewater recycling.

Textile industry:

1. Nonionic polyacrylamide can be used as a leveling agent in the textile printing and dyeing process to help the dye be evenly distributed on the fabric;

2. It can also be used to treat textile wastewater to reduce the degree of wastewater pollution.

Mining field:

1. In the mineral processing process, anionic polyacrylamide can be used as a flotation agent to improve the flotation efficiency of ore;
